Stay Tuned for Updates and More Information!

Join us for our dinosaur themed Summer Reading and Activity Program!
Starting June 08 come in to the library to pick up a reading log, passport, and participation prize.

Remember! There is no library card needed to participate in our program or any of our programs and there are no costs.

Reading Logs

At the begining of each week, stop by the library to pick up a new log as well as a participation prize. For every amount of pages you read, you get a raffle ticket that goes into any prize you want. You also get a ticket for every outdoor or community event you participate in. At the end of the summer, we will choose a winner for each prize. The more you read, the more chances you have of winning!

0-7 years old: 1 Ticket = 1 Book
8 to 13 years old: 1 Ticket = 50 Pages
14+ years old: 1 Ticket = 150 Pages

Community Scavenger Hunt

When you stop by the Library to get your first reading log, you will also get a Community Scavenger Hunt passport. With this passport and accompanying map, stamps from participating businesses around Millstadt! All participating businesses will be listed on the map, and will have a character visible in their window.

There are no purchases required when you go to visit these locations.
For every 10 places you visit, you earn a ticket into a special raffle.
There are over 25 stops, so happy traveling!

Field Trips

We are teaming up with six local places to go on field trips.
You'll see the places listed in the calendar below, along with a link. Please use those links to learn more about the field trip and to RSVP. Please have your RSVP in by the Thursday of the week before the trip.
You can do so through the link or with the library by coming in or calling us at 618-476-1887.
Everyone will meet at the Field Trip location - NOT at the library. All ages are welcome to attend, but parents are expected to stay with their children during the trip. The Field Trip presentations will start promptly at 10 a.m. and will last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the field trip host.
