Looking for more logs to fill with your Summer Reading picks?

Happy June~! I have compiled a list of businesses/organizations participating in their own 2026 Summer Reading Programs you can take part in alongside our own Millstadt Library Summer Reading and Activity Program! Check them out in the graphic below and scroll down to see more information about each one. There is a variety of participation required and age ranges covered so be sure to check to see what is right for you.



Barnes and Noble


Read 8 books and fill out the bracket. After each 2 book round, visit Barnes and Noble for a sticker; then after 4 visits, you'll be able to choose a prize book from their list! Check out the link below for the printable reading log, along with more information:



Pizza Hut: Book It!


Download the Book It! app on your device, log your reading times daily and set goals to achieve. Then you'll earn a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut! Limit of 5 Personal Pan Pizza certificates per family, per month. One certificate may be earned per eligible child, per month, for meeting their reading goal. Chuck E. Cheese


Set a reading goal and print out their Chuck E. Cheese certificate. When they reach their goal, sign the certificate and bring it to your next visit to Chuck E. Cheese for 10 Free Play Points. Click the link below to read more about this program and print your certificate:



State Senator Christopher Belt Summer Book Club


State Senator Christopher Belt is launching a Summer Reading Club for students to encourage continued learning throughout the summer. The Summer Book Club requires students to read eight books of their choice during the summer break, record the names of the books on a Google Form by Aug. 14. Every child who completes the Summer Book Club will receive a gift card and a certificate from Belt. For more information and to submit the Google Form check out the link below:



Mensa for Kids


To encourage the joy of reading, the Mensa Foundation has developed the Excellence in Reading Award Program. Earn a commemorative certificate in recognition of your outstanding achievement and get an Excellence in Reading T- shirt, too! You'll pick an appropriate booklist from their website, fill out a paper log, and then mail it in with the order form found also on their website. Steve's Reading Rockstars


From Steve's website: "Steve's All-Ages Reading Challenge: Because you shouldn't have to be in the third grade to get free prizes for reading. Remember the pure joy of trading a finished book list for free food? We missed that feeling. So, we're bringing it back for everyone." Download and print your book tracker, log 20 books, and get a free hotdog! A free kid's meal with the purchase of an adult meal or a free classic dog with the purchase of one specialty dog or melt. Sign up and print your tracker at the link below:



Gateway Grizzlies: Izzy's Reading Program

Our library is partnering with the Gateway Grizzlies to win free and discounted tickets to baseball games! Stop by the Millstadt Library to grab a Izzy's Reading Program bingo card, get one bingo, then come back to the library to recieve the coupon for your 2 free tickets! If you have more friends or family who would like to join you for the game, they can be provided extra tickets for a special discounted price at $10 each. After the game you'll be invited to run the bases, too! There are limited dates and times for the tickets you may redeem. Stop by the library to grab your bingo card!


Disney on Ice: Reading is Cool!


Disney on Ice is partnering with the Millstadt Library! Come to the library to pick up your "Reading is Cool" card, you'll get a stamp for every book you complete, and once you complete 5 books, you earn a free child's ticket (with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket) to Disney on Ice. They must be redeemed through 09/27/2026 for limited dates. Come down to the library to pick up your "Reading is Cool" card!


Books a Million: Be a Summer Reading Warrior


Books a Million is hosting a "Warriors" themed summer reading program! You'll print a special Summer Reading Adventure logbook, read any 4 books from the Summer Reading Adventure feature in store or online, write about the books youʼve read in your Summer Reading Adventure logbook, then turn in your logbook to your nearest Books a Million for a themed fidget toy! Sora: Sweet Reads


From Sora's website: "Join us this summer for our annual reading program. Sora Sweet Reads is designed for schools in the United States to encourage students to keep reading all year long. We’re offering a collection of free, simultaneous-use ebooks (and select audiobooks) that spans grades 5-8. These titles will be available to participating schools and prominently displayed in Sora so it’s easy for students to find their next sweet read." Reading is Fundamental


Reading is Fundamental is running a Summer Reading Challenge all based around camp and badges. Young readers will be invited to explore great books, complete hands-on activities, and earn badges along the way. Age-appropriate reading ideas, a printable summer reading log, and curated children’s book recommendations will be available on their website. The first 250 families to sign up will recieve a free book! Check out more information and sign up at the link below:



Summer Reading Challenge with Second Lady Usha Vance


From Usha Vance: "Dear Future Summer Readers, every book you open is an adventure – whether you are exploring new places, meeting new characters, or learning something new. A whole summer of reading fun is waiting just for you! This summer, as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, we are excited to invite all children (K-8) to join in the Second Lady’s 2026 Summer Reading Challenge. Participants will read and track 12 books of their choice between June 1 and September 4. Every book counts! When you finish your 12 books, ask your parents/guardians to let us know, and we will send you a personalized certificate, an America 250th anniversary-themed bookmark, and a special link to receive a prize! You will also be entered for a chance to visit our nation’s capital and the White House with a chaperone. Terms and conditions apply. Where will your next book take you? We can’t wait to find out!" So if you are just as excited as us librarians to start summer reading, there is plenty to look forward too! They say it pays to read (and sometime feeds to read). I know I'm working on my own personal reading log for that Steve's Hot Dog. Let us know what you're most excited for this Summer Reading season!
