Read Across America is our almost year-long reading challenge for all ages.
Your objective is to read a book set in each State.
(Don't worry, we will have helpful book lists!)
Starting in January, pick up your Read Across America reading log and your comemorative pin. If you finish the log, you will receive a certificate of completion.
This event will start in January and end with our Summer Reading and Acitivy Program on July 20, 2026.

SUMMER READING AND ACTIVITY PROGRAM
We're excited to help share the word for participants to get engaged with Our American Story from America 250.
All you have to do is nominate the story of someone, like a Veteran or Teacher, and if selected, their story will be preserved in a unique way during the America 250 Celebration.

OUR AMERICAN STORY
AMERICA'S FIELD TRIP
This initivtive might be the coolest one yet! Students in Grade 3 - 12 are intvited to either write an essay or create art that answers, "What does America mean to you?"
Entries are then submitted and judged. 250 second place winners receive $100 and 250 first place winners will get to go on an amazing field trip (with their chaperone) to experience our nation.
Submissions need to be signed by a teacher or by a librarian!
