It's a Wrap! Thank you to everyone who participated in our Summer Reading and Activity Program 2022!
We had so much fun this year. Especially, with new additions like the Community Scavenger Hunt and the Field Trips. (Penny and Nichole are going to miss the Field Trips the most!) We truly felt that we "read beyond the beaten path" this year by taking reading outside the library and exploring around our community. We hope to bring many of these elements back again next year.
This was also our largest sign-up list to date with over 100 sign-ups for the program! We had 60 returning participants - 16 adults and 44 children.
Adults read a total of 60,264 pages and completed 54 activities, our top reader,
Helen R. read 9,806 pages
Children read a total of 62,701 pages and completed 257 activities, our top reader, Conner B. read 5,472 pages
All together, our participants read a total of 122,965 pages and completed 311 activities.
Let's not forget that those activities include 11 story times with crafts, 4 local author story times, 6 field trips, 6 crafternoons, 3 movies, an escape room, games, other usual programs, and 49 prizes! (Read below for a list of winners!)
HOWEVER, we could not have put on such a great program without our wonderful patrons and participants, but most importantly, without the help and support of our excellent Millstadt Businesses!
