Looking for some book inspiration? Here are some suggested reads for September!

These books have been on the New York Times Bestseller List and at the top of the Millstadt Library's most circulated list. At the end of these lists, Nichole picks a book or two that she personally recommends.

We just reviewed North Woods by Daniel Mason and are reading Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay for our next Senior Center Book Club meeting on Monday, October 20 at 11 a.m.

Without further ado, here are this month's picks!

History Matters by David McCullough

NICHOLE'S RECOMMENDATIONS

With Fall coming soon, I wanted to revisit one of my favorite books from one of my favorite authors.

20th Century Ghost Stories is an impeccable collection of short stories that really are short and spooky - just enough to get you reading and wanting more as soon as the story is finished.

If you've seen the movie Black Phone, it's actually based off of one of the short stories, but really, all of the stories in here can be developed upon. Give this book a try, even if ghost stories aren't your thing.
