ALL Ages!
It's that time, reading time is here
Everybody knows, there's not a better time of year
Hear that sleigh, Santa's on his way
Hip, hip hooray, for Christmas vacation!

Join us for our first ever Winter Reading and Activity Program! Our WRAP is just like our SRAP, only it's just 2 weeks of reading, activities, field trips, and chances to win some prizes!

Because these two weeks can be busy, activities are worth double the tickets.
All you have to do is:
1) Pick up your log at any point during the program at the library.
2) Fill out your sheet daily (or as needed)
3) You receive a ticket for drawings at the end of the program for the amount of pages read or qualifying activities
(left over pages will be rounded up and counted as an entry for turning in your log!)
4) Submit your log at the end of the program - Drop it off in the book drop, or hand it to a librarian!
5) Winners and participation prizes will be drawn at the end of the program

Each age group and their required pages are listed below.
Children (Pre-K - 5th): 50 pages
Teen (6th - 12th): 200 pages
Adult (18+): 250 pages

Winners will be announced January 3rd

What are qualifying activities? Well, participate in one of our ongoing programs - such as Knitting and Crochet Night, Story Time, or Crafternoon (to name a few) -or- participate in activities around our community like donating to the Belleville Area Humane Society or the Millstadt Food Pantry, or attending church events or other community events!

Field Trips

Reading is an important skill and one that we need for daily life and for our futures. However, it's vital that we mix what we read on our own with practical education and that we learn how things are done to - not just read about them.

For our WRAP, we're teaming up with

- Live Oak Wine Decor on 12/22

- Rae & James on 12/29

both at 10 a.m.

Visit the calendar below to learn more to learn more about the field trip and to RSVP. We need RSVPs the week before the field trip so we can plan accordingly. You can do so through the link, with the library by coming in, or calling us at 618-476-1887.

Everyone will meet at the Field Trip location - NOT at the library. All ages are welcome to attend, but parents are expected to stay with their children during the trip. The Field Trip presentations will start promptly at 10 a.m. and will last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the Field Trip host.

If you have any questions, please contact us, we're more than happy to help!
